And it's only slightly marred by the fact that I do have to cover the "Apprentice" finale later tonight (damn you, Donald Trump!), but other than that, it's a happy, happy December 15, and unlike my Minnesota days, it is not covered in snow.

--It was the Battle of Nashville during the Civil War
--"Gone with the Wind" premiered in Atlanta. Black cast members were not allowed at the premiere in the segregated South.

A friend of my parents' stayed at J. Paul Getty's country house in Britain (while Getty was still alive) and told me that he had only pay phones for the guests. I guess that's how he stayed a billionaire.
