Here comes the bride

My best friend just got engaged, and I emailed her the other day that I have found her perfect cake topper.

Although a) it's $95, and b) I'm kind of grossed out that they also offer it with Luke marrying Leia. They're BROTHER AND SISTER! Sure, that cake topper would be great for a V.C. Andrews wedding, I guess.

Other toppers offered by the same company:

Man, I cannot even imagine the bride who would want pigs topping her cake.

We are Siamese if you please

French-kissing skeletons

Oh, like Charlie Brown would ever marry Lucy. Marcie and Peppermint Patty would be a better offering.

I guess Goths might like this Chucky and Tiffany version

Wasn't Marge pregnant out to here with Bart when she married Homer?

Obviously, they meant you could pair Luke with Han.

Speaking of weddings, you should send your friend over to the new Etiquette Hell -- it's been altered and updated since the last time you linked it.
(I've been reading almost nothing but that site for several days now, which is why I immediately think of it.)

We used Homer and Marge Pez dispensers on our cake(s) [we had two], and it was a big hit. I just couldn't justify spending that kind of money on something that goes on top of a cake. But then again, my entire wedding cost less than $4000 from dress to booze, so maybe I'm just a cheapskate.

Perhaps they mean the Star Wars topper is available with Han and Luke, not Leia and Luke? Tee-hee!

My friend got married, and she had pirates that looked like her and her groom on top. Sweet.

The fact that Marge and Homer are inacurate in that topper is the ONLY reason we didn't have it on our wedding cake.

On a related note, here are some pictures from a Star Wars-themed wedding in which the groom dressed as Darth Vader and the bride as Leia. Let me here quote the guy from whom I got this link, Chris Sims of Chris's Invincible Super-Blog: "Which means he's getting married WHILE DRESSED AS HIS BRIDE'S FATHER, thus cementing Jim Balent's reputation as a guy who doesn't miss the point, but rather aggressively avoids it."

In my day, we just used action figures.

"This topper is also available with Luke Skywalker"

Hee!!

I sprayed coffee on the keyboard before I realized they DID NOT mean the topper could be made with Luke and Han Solo! (Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Or Hans Solo, as the case may be (didn't realize his German ancestry, ja.)

I enjoy how the "cute pigs" topper has been discontinued.

Okay, as the soon to be groom, I have to say NO!!! Just plain NO!! to all those suggestions. Now if they had a cake topper that could show the the love and devotion of Tim Treadwell and his girlfriend who loved each other so much that they got eaten by bears together!! That I would put on my cake!!!!

The inks don't work for me, am I doing something wrong?
