Then and now

I know many movie fans are horrified that the "Star Wars" films have been altered at all, but this site, showing differences between the versions, is just fascinating. (Via Metafilter.)

Speaking of then and now, another site puts screen shots from old video games next to the sleek movie-like shots of modern ones for a shocking comparison. I agree with them -- if you could go back in time and show a scene from Madden to the programmers for Atari or, say, Mattel Electronic Football, it would be like that scene in "Back to the Future" where Michael J. Fox tries bringing modern rock back to the past. But I also find myself coveting the old, simpler games almost more than the so-slick modern ones. Because I am damn old!
