The last straw

I swear I saw limited-edition strawberries and creme Twinkies at the store, but Hostess' Web site doesn't bother to mention them, at least that I can see. Fine use of the Internet there, folks. Someone is selling them on eBay, though, if you want to see what they look like.

Also, who remembers Tiger Tails? Weren't they kind of a strawberry-jam striped Twinkie? A co-worker swears she still occasionally sees them in stores, but other online sources say they're gone for good. Anyone know for sure? Anyone have a photo?

I've seen the strawberries and creme Twinkies and cupcakes here in Modesto.

According to the Interstate Brands Companies website (http://www.bakeryoutlets.com/products.html#hostess), Tiger Tails are still available somewhere. It says not all products are available in all areas, but if they're on the list, I guess they're still being made.

It also lists Banana Suzy Q's and Apple Spice cakes. I remember getting Apple Spice cupcakes back in the 80s. They had white frosting and mysterious apple goo in place of filling.

If they were smart, they'd set it up to order in bulk over the internet. I'm sure there are people who would buy cases of forgotten Hostess products.

We have strawberry Twinkies on sale currently in local stores.

Our Hostess outlet store regularly has apple spice cupcakes, golden cupcakes and all the weird stuff (depending on when you go). I have not see Tiger Tails though.

I have seen Tiger Tails here in Seattle as little as 2 years ago (7-11 on Stone way in Wallingford). I've seen Hostess Apple Spice cupcakes in the vending machines right here at Microsoft in the past year! I haven't seen Suzie Q's in ages though. (MS vending mystery: all of the cakes are Hostess *except* for the chocolate cupcakes, which are Mrs. Freshleys. Weird, that.)

I saw them at the grocery just the other day. I LOVE TIGER TAILS. They had better not get rid of them. I think it's raspberry jammish stuff. Along with the coconut. Oh man.

I actually went on a quest to find them- none left in seattle as near as I can tell. We do have every other crazy thing they make though. So sad, coconut and rasberry jam. So good.

I miss tiger tails.. The best hostess ever. I grew up on them as a street skateboarder from around 1990-94.. If anyone finds them please respond here..

We haven't had Tiger Tails around here in a couple years (Seattle) as I used to get them fairly often. They've been replaced with those red Zingers.

I did find one this summer in a vending machine at a hotel in Salt Lake City.

Google the strawberry's and cream twinkies and click on the images you can see the hostess box that they were in. I bet if you write hostess I think that you can speacial order things like that. But it may be exspensive.

I'm currently living in Bethlehem in the West Bank and they are selling Tiger Tails at a small shop here. I've also seen chocolate creme filled Twinkies.
