I continue to be fascinated with trends in names. Did you know the Baby Name Wizard has this national map, labeling areas of the country and listing some of the names popular there?
Minnesota is considered part of the "Midwestern Reserve" area, with elegant names such as Ella, Grace, Alexander and Samuel. (We know a LOT of people with sons named Sam, for sure.)
Seattle, however, is part of the area that mixes the Frontier with the Creative Fringe, and apparently favors names such as Autumn, Brooklyn, and Isabella. (And one of our friends out here has a daughter named Autumn, so I guess they're right.)
