The camera does too lie

Kim Reed found this fun article in which a home cook tried to recreate the drool-worthy photos in cookbooks.

We had some awesome food photographers when I worked at the magazine, but I never once dreamed to try and replicate their work. I know they put a ton of lacquer and other things on the food to make it look gorgeous, but it also makes it inedible.
