No one can be surprised, but Philip Markoff (the alleged Craigslist killer)'s fiancee has called off their wedding.
After his arrest, their wedding Web site became fodder for the tabloids, with everything from their registries to the wedding band choice being picked over. Now it sounds as if Megan, the fiancee who was at first the only one who remained loyal to him, has gone home to New Jersey and won't be visiting Markoff again. She'll attend med school in the Caribbean and, we presume, try to restructure her shattered life.
If he is guilty, it's strange to think that she didn't know anything, but there have been plenty of examples before of killers who led two lives. Poor woman.
