Ann rules!

I'm a true-crime buff, and author Ann Rule (who lives in the Seattle area!) is the queen of true-crime books.

Now, the Lifetime Movie Network (who else?) has made two of her books into movies. One, "Too Late to Say Goodbye," based on the Bart and Jenn Corbin case, stars Rob Lowe (who else?). What, "Brothers & Sisters" isn't bringing in enough cash for the "Schoolboy Father" star?

I'm actually more excited about the one starring Gina Gershon, because it's based on the Pat Taylor Allanson case and the book "Everything She Ever Wanted," which just might be Rule's best book and most bizarre case ever. It's the story of a southern belle (she even dressed as Scarlett O'Hara at her wedding) who let nothing, absolutely nothing, including the lives of her in-laws and various other innocents, get in her way. And her parents stood by her every step of the way. Read the book, it's really engrossing.

I have read that book at least 5 times. Ar first I was thinking "Gina Gershon, really?" but somehow I can see her just killing it. Pun intended.

I remember I had to put the book down a couple of times b/c she was so disturbing. What I couldn't get over was how she was able to just keep doing it... And I felt so sorry for her poor daughter's family...
