Looking back, Mike Royko's son thinks his dad probably had a pretty good time hanging out on the barstools of O'Rourke's in Chicago. Yep, he probably did.
As much as I love Royko's writing, it sounds like he pretty much left the family-raising to his wife, and I can't imagine that was easy for her. An interesting piece on a real old-school journalist.
