Wooo! "Facts of Life" on DVD is now on Amazon for preorder for its May 9 release. That's less than a month away! Looks like seasons one and two are on the same set, for just $28 from Amazon.
That's awesome, because it means I can skip past most of the awful first season ("you take the bad") with the eight zillion girls and settle into the improved seasons that focused on Blair, Jo, Natalie and Tootie.

Oh my goodness, this is the most exciting thing to happen to me in weeks.
I actually don't mind the original with the tons of girls. The only really bad thing about it was the absence of Jo, my one true love.
The first season did have one shining moment: Charlotte Rae singing the theme song.
I kinda liked that first season. At the time, I was a fan of the new Mickey Mouse Club and was excited that they had two ex-Mousketeers (Lisa Whelchel and Julie Perkarski) in the cast.
Plus, like James said, Charlotte Rae singing!
I actually liked the first season. Except for Tootie on roller skates.
