There's a great invention back when "Mystery Science Theater 3000" used to have the invention exchange. Joel and the Bots put newspaper comic strips into a machine and they come out with their storylines crossed. ("Oh no! Mrs. Lockhorn has crashed the car into the dressing room where Cathy is trying on a swimsuit!")
That's pretty much the idea behind Better Comix. My favorites are The Boonesbury and Duncantrot.

Really enjoy your pop culture talk. I attended Bowling Green State University home of the Pop Culture degree and have always been fascinated by the odd and glorious 80s.
