Oh, ugh, I can just see where this "For Better or For Worse" plotline is going. Elly and John move into a tiny house and GIVE their giant house to Deanna and Mike.
There's something about this story that really irks me. Maybe it's because no one ever gave me a house, or maybe it's because Dee is a pharmacist and Mike apparently is the king of Canadian journalism and they should have to either live within their means or work on their saving ability.
Oh, who am I kidding? It's just that I can't stand Mike and Deanna, ever since she got pregnant "accidentally" by switching up her birth-control pills (some pharmacist, eh?)

I know! If Mike is so hot, why can't they afford a house with his and her incomes? For crying out loud, I'm a nothing and I have a house. AND I live in California! AND I have three kids (okay, we don't go out much, but we have a house). I wish someone would give me a house. If John and Elly can afford to buy a business (the bookstore) then sell it, then give away their house, on a Dentist's salary, Mike is in the wrong line of work.
I swear, if Elizabeth ends up with Anthony, I will hunt that little comic couple down and make them read They Do It Everytime until their eyes bleed.
I totally see that happening. If it does, if I were Liz and April I'd be thinking this was a little unfair. Let's hope Liz the elementary school teacher never needs help after she has kids, and if Paul sticks around a teacher/ cop combination is going to have a harder financial time than an editor/ pharmacist. She's in trouble because her folks will already have given everything to Mike!
LOL at Sylko's comment!
I agree -- combine the salaries of a journalist and a pharmacist, and you ask why are they in that horrible hot tiny apartment in the projects? They would have saved enough for a 50% downpayment on a house by now.
It's time for Mr. B to kill them all.
Now that's how you end a comic strip series!
I think Elly and John should give the house to Elizabeth and Mr. Wright. Then the last comic can be Liz telling Mike about all the extra room she has and doesn't know what to do with it all.
I'm with macguffin. Go Mr. B!
That is funny, Gael. I never connected Deanna being a pharmacist with her taking the wrong pills. Hmmmm.
