He was born in the summer of his twenty-seventh year

There's some support in Colorado to replace the official state song, "Where the Columbines Grow," with John Denver's wonderful "Rocky Mountain High."

I say, go for it. Denver's song is breathtaking, not many states get a love song written to them.

The Wikipedia entry on the song says he had to defend it from being banned for promoting drug use. Denver went public and said that the "high" of the song was a purely natural one.
