RIP

It's amazing to me that we make a big deal about people like Paris Hilton while people like Helena Podkopacz go virtually unnoticed.

I don't know Podkopacz's family, but I saw her obit in the Strib and read about how she was seized to be taken to a labor camp and passed her 1 1/2 year old daughter out the window of the boxcar taking her there, giving her to her sister. I try to imagine doing this with Miss Kelly and I just can't even let my mind go there.

It's truly an amazing world full of people who have seen things we cannot believe. Take note, Paris Hilton, take note.
